These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Hugo, a voice-first daily news application. By creating an account or using Hugo, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Who can use Hugo

You must be at least 17 years old to use Hugo. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and for all activity under it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use Hugo for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the service.
• Use the voice agent or search features to generate or solicit illegal, harmful, or abusive content.

AI-generated content and news accuracy

Hugo’s briefings and answers are generated by artificial intelligence and drawn from third-party news sources and live web search. The content may be inaccurate, incomplete, biased, or out of date, and is provided for general information only. It is not professional, financial, legal, or medical advice. You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it. Hugo and its providers are not liable for decisions made based on the content.

Reporting objectionable content

If you encounter content you believe is objectionable, inaccurate, or abusive, please report it to us at hugonewsai@gmail.com. We review reports and will take appropriate action, which may include adjusting our content controls or restricting accounts that violate these Terms.

Your account

You may delete your account at any time from within the app (Account → Delete Account). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

Hugo is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hugo and its providers disclaim all warranties and are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service.

Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above. Continued use of Hugo after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
